Terms of Service

1. What PWSAC is

PWSAC is a directory and accreditation network for independently owned and operated local businesses. We review businesses against a published set of accreditation checks (see How We List Providers for exactly what we do and don't check) and list accredited businesses here so customers can find and request quotes from them. PWSAC does not itself perform the services listed on this site.

2. Not a party to the work you hire for

Every business listed on PWSAC is independently owned and operated. They set their own prices, schedules, and service policies. PWSAC is not a party to any agreement you make with a listed business, does not employ their staff, and is not responsible for the quality, timing, or outcome of any work performed. A quote request submitted through this site is a feature that connects you with a business — it is not a guarantee that a business will respond, that a job will be completed, or of any particular outcome.

3. Accreditation is not a warranty

Accreditation reflects the specific, dated checks described on How We List Providers — it is not a warranty, endorsement, or guarantee of a business's future conduct, workmanship, or business practices. If you have a concern about a listed business, every business's own page has a way to report it to us directly; we review reports but cannot guarantee any particular resolution.

4. Using this site

You agree to provide accurate information when submitting a quote request, a provider application, or a concern report, and not to use this site to submit false, abusive, or fraudulent submissions. We may remove content, suspend or revoke a business's accreditation, or restrict access to the site at our discretion, including for conduct that violates these terms.

5. Accredited businesses

If you're a business seeking accreditation, additional terms apply once you enter the accreditation program — including the fee, term length, and renewal terms shown at the tier comparison on this site at the time you apply, and the requirement to maintain current, confirmed accreditation checks for as long as you remain listed. Accreditation is at our discretion and may be suspended, revoked, or not renewed for failure to maintain those checks or for conduct we determine harms customers or the network's trustworthiness.

6. AI phone answering (optional add-on for accredited businesses)

Accredited businesses can add AI phone answering: a dedicated local phone number answered by an AI assistant that greets callers, takes down their details, transfers callers to the business during its business hours when appropriate, and passes captured quote requests to the business. The add-on is provided and billed by our technology partner, whose name may appear on your card statement. These terms apply to it in addition to the rest of this page.

Plans and billing. The add-on is a monthly subscription that renews automatically on the same day each month until canceled. Each plan includes a set number of minutes per billing period, as shown when the plan is set up, and the monthly price is charged at the start of each period. Calls keep being answered after the included minutes are used; each additional minute is billed at the plan's per-minute rate on the next invoice. Minutes are measured as the time the AI assistant is on the call. We aim to alert the business owner when 80% and 100% of the included minutes have been used, but charges for additional minutes apply whether or not an alert is received. If a payment fails, the add-on may be suspended until it's paid.

Changing plans. An upgrade takes effect immediately, and the price difference for the rest of the current billing period is charged right away. A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next billing period; there are no credits or refunds for the current period.

Cancellation. The add-on can be canceled at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect immediately: the number stops answering and is released, so it can't be kept or transferred. Any additional minutes already used are billed on a final invoice, and the monthly price already paid for the current period isn't refunded.

How it works, and its limits. Calls are recorded and transcribed so the assistant can capture caller details and summarize each call for the business. The AI assistant can mishear or misunderstand callers, and it doesn't quote prices, book appointments, or handle emergencies. The business remains responsible for following up with its callers, for how it uses caller information, and for any notice to callers that applicable law requires. Captured quote requests are provided as-is, without a guarantee that every call results in a usable lead.

7. Intellectual property

The PWSAC name, badge, and site design are ours. Accredited businesses may display their own accreditation badge on their own website using the embed code we provide, under the terms shown when that badge is issued; no other use of our name or badge is permitted without our consent.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

This site and the information on it are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PWSAC is not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or from any interaction, agreement, or work performed by a business you found through it.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page.

10. SMS and text message communications

Accredited businesses can invite their own staff (owners and team members) to receive account-support text messages from PWSAC — onboarding help, account and verification status updates, and replies to support requests. A business provides a staff member's phone number on that person's behalf when sending the invite, and in doing so confirms that person has agreed to receive these messages at that number. This is separate from the email communications described in our Privacy Policy and does not apply to customers submitting quote requests. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
